This study dealt with two major issues. A comparison between the subjective evaluations of workers of the luminous environments and the objective lighting parameters was conducted. These objective parameters were compared with the recommendations of existing lighting standars and with the subjective evaluations of the building occupants. We also examined occupant’s perception of importance of environmental attributes of the workplace amd their satisfaction with them.
This study also indicated that proximity to windows could affect workers’ perception of the importance of some work-space attributes, their satisfaction with them as well as their overall satisfaction with the workplace.
