The methodology realized by ENEA and Associazione Italiana di Ingegneria Agraria di Milano allows the evaluation of energy potential by vegetable biomass and Municipal Solid Wastes for the Italian Regions.
The first application leads to value of 17,2 Mtonnes/year for vegetable biomass, and of 23,2 Mtonnes for Municipal Solid Wastes available for energy uses.
