The paper presents results from simulation and analysis of a plant with integrated gasification of both straw and coal. The plant is a project of the Danish Utility Groups ELSAM and ELKRAFT and other partners under the APAS clean coal technology programme. The most important characteristic of the plant is that a coal/straw mixture is gasified. In the paper the reason for this new choice is explained. The results of both the energetic analysis, performed using two different simulation codes, and of the exergetic analysis are presented.
