In this paper, microCHP systems based on TPV systems are analyzed. In particular, attention will be devoted to the following issue: a description of the TPV system and of its components; a review of the recent literature and the state-of-the art of this tecnology; a thermodynamic analysisin ordre to define the most important performance parameters; the numericaòl simulation of a test case in order to assess how to evaluate the performance parameter with respect to the combustion, radiation and spectral models which can be used in a CFD code.
