This document examines the two commercial methods currently available for the “in situ” generation of gaseous ammonia from urea and compares their system features and related operating costs. Eventually, it describes the industrial experience with AmmogenTM, which consists of thirty operating units with a total installed capacity of about 38,000kg/h of ammonia.
