Note:
A numerical investigation of two-phase impinging jet heat transfer has been carried out with a mixture model. The working medium is the mixture of water and air. The principle of mixture model is introduced. The parameters studied here are the volume fraction of air and inlet velocity of mixture components. The average heat transfer coefficient and temperature distribution are analyzed to evaluate the heat transfer performance of the impinging jet system. A comparison of results of mixture and pure water impingement has been carried out.
