In 1999 European Fuel Cell Gmbh was founded as a subsidiary of HGC Hamburg Gas Consult Gmbh. HGC, a 100% subsidiary of E.ON Hanse AG develops concepts for the parent company, amongst other things also for the introduction of new technologies such fuel cell technology. On 1st August 2002 European Fuel Cell Gmbh was taken over by the BAXI Group with the objective of developing the concept of fuel cells for domestic applications (for single and multiple dwelling units) ready for the market.
