Note:
A parameter, called coefficient of performance, introduced by the same authors in previous studies, turns out to be very useful for determining the most suitable resistance-capacity distribution within building envelope, in order to facilitate the air-conditioning plant interventions. In this paper a general definition in integral form of this parameter, from which all its properties can be deduced, is given.
